SunTrust Bank (together with SunTrust Banks, Inc. and its subsidiaries, the “Company”) maintains an anti-money laundering program designed to comply with the requirements of Section 352 of the USA PATRIOT Act and its amendment to the Bank Secrecy Act (“BSA”). The Company has appointed a BSA Compliance Officer; developed policies, procedures, and controls designed to guard against money laundering; instituted an ongoing training program; and provided for independent auditing of the compliance program. As part of this program, the Company has implemented a customer identification program pursuant to Section 326 of the USA PATRIOT Act.
The Company also maintains an economic and trade sanctions compliance program designed to comply with all sanctions programs administered and enforced by the Office of Foreign Assets Controls.
